Due to what transpired in Nakuru with political temperatures rising each and every day, Vihiga Governor Moses Akaranga has appealed to the church to stand firm and reconcile the nation. Akaranga said the church has a higher chance of reconciling the nation as it is not partisan.
The Vihiga county boss said that as it is now the nation is headed in the wrong direction and there is a need for intervention.
He spoke during a Sunday service at Pentecostal Evangelism Team church headquarters in Jemlongoji in Hamisi Vihiga.
"We know the church is the voice of God and at this particular time when faced with challenges, the church should stand in between and bring peace,"said Akaranga.
The Governor also called upon political leaders to think about the nation more than themselves. He added that this nation will go far if the church will be allowed to foster peace in the society.
