Former Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission ( IEBC) Commissioner Roselyn Akombe has not been left behind in paying tribute to former NTV Manager Linus Kaikai who unexpectedly left the giant media house.
Kaikai who joined the Twin Towers from Standard Group in 2009, is one of the most decorated journalists in the country. However, the recent developments at the media house showed that he was a marked man. And on Wednesday, he called it a day.
Many have hailed him as the man who has built careers of many current TV stars. Even those outside the media industry recognize him. And Akombe is one such person.
In a tweet, Dr. Akombe hailed the Kenya Editors Guild chairman for refusing to be compromised in his line of duty.
"Bon chance @LinusKaikai. You exemplify what the great Chinua Achebe once said: " One of the truest test of integrity is its blunt refusal to be compromised," said Dr. Akombe, UN staffer who quit her job at the electoral body in October 2017.
