[Photo/Nairobi News]Dr. Roselyn Akombe who has resigned from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission early Wednesday, has expressed fear for her life following the murder of former ICT boss Chris Msando.Speaking to a local television station, on phone from the US, moments after her resignation, Akombe said that to date, no explanation has been given on Msando's death and therefore she does not feel safe being in Kenya. The former commissioner noted that the threats she had been receiving on her life could have led her to late Msando's path. "We had our own staff murdered 9 days before the August 8 election. We have not had any explanation. The threats I've been receiving can land me in the same path. I'm not suicidal. I'm not going to put my life at risk." said Akombe."I have had threats to my brother who had to flee the country," she noted."I will continue playing my role in which ever way I can as a Kenya citizen," added Akombe.
