Flamboyant singer Akothee’s daughter, Celine, is among the students who excelled in the closely monitored 2016 KCSE examination.
The star mother took to social media to celebrate Celine who seems to have met her expectations of joining university.
“CONGRATULATIONS NYAR KAMAGAMBO... the feeling after she made mama proud! AM proud of you my queen. That mean grade I only saw in one of my best subjects, sisi tulikuwa watu wa C+ backwards," she posted.
After the post, her legion of fans having been left in suspense for hours, could not let her be in peace demanding to know the actual grade.
Akothee finally revealed that her daughter managed a B- (minus) in the results released by Education CS Fred Matiang'i.
That means Celine is among the 88,929 students who scored between C+ and A plain and qualified to join local universities.
A few weeks ago, Akothee in an interview with a local media house said her daughter would join university whether or not she passes her exams by university standards.
“I have a candidate who will go to university whether she passes or not,” she remarked as the audience cheered on.
