Award winning singer Esther Akothee brought Kisumu to a stand-still on Sunday when she took part in charity activities in different parts of the county.
The wealthy and talented singer staged electrifying performances at Ramogi FM-sponsored Luo Festival in Lake Region days after jetting back from the US where she bagged African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).
During her tour, the talented dancer and lyricist spared her time to visit Mama Ngina Children’s Home in Kibuye, where she presented the children with different gifts including pampers, cooking oil, soft drinks, rice and sanitary pads.
The singer also took time to dance and sing for the children before embarking on her mission to educate the girls of this county about menstrual cycle as well as proper use of sanitary pads.
She also went to a local supermarket in Kisumu town to buy Unga and Sugar, which she donated to residents.
Akothee has been on the forefront when it comes to giving back to the community.
This comes a few months after the mother of five lost her unborn twins when she was out of the country.
