Songstress Esther Akoth, famously known as Akothee, on Tuesday collapsed at a train station in Geneva, Switzerland.
Confirming the incident, her manager Nelson said that the wealthy singer was taken to hospital where she is currently undergoing treatment.
Earlier reports indicated that Akothee was expecting twins but the doctors in Switzerland are now saying that they cannot feel the second child's heartbeat.
“The condition as per now is not good. She was expecting twins but the doctor can’t feel the second heartbeat. We are crossing fingers as the lives of both are in danger,” said Nelson.
The singer has been taken to the theater where she is currently undergoing surgery.
Akothee was expected to travel to Basel for antenatal before the incident occurred.
“She could not make it so she was rushed to the hospital only to find one heartbeat followed by bleeding,” said Nelson, as quoted by eDaily.
The manager has called upon her fans to pray for her and avoid sharing information that is likely to cause panic.
