Mombasa-based musician Esther Akothee is mourning the demise of her grandfather, James Ogendi. Akothee broke the news of the death of her grandfather in an Instagram post on Monday, October 30, 2017. In the post, Akothee said she had constructed a house near her grandpa because she wanted to enjoy the little things she got in life with him.She eulogized him as the only person who understood and knew how to deal with her.“I wanted to enjoy the little I have with you, that’s the reason I built my home next to you. My heart is directly connected to you, you are the only true husband in my life, you are the only one who understands and take all my bullshit,” read the post in part.The Benefactor hitmaker said she has been praying to God to give her the strength to deal with this trying moment. She further pledged to complete the assignments her grandfather had given her before his demise.“You left me 2 assignments as most of them I cleared while you were alive. I promise you, I will do them. I love you so much grandpa, fare thee well osiepna James Ogendi.”Friends and family have already started sending their condolence messages to the singer.
