Reports by aspiring Kisumu Woman Representative have come to light and Grace Akumu is claiming assassins have been hired to kill ahead before the August election.
Grace reported this story to the Kisumu Central Police Station.
She claims that her competitors have hired sixteen people to follow her and says that she has inside information to back it up.
"I have given police all the information I have and the number plate of the car that has been trailing me from July 17."
According to Akumu she was told about the two foreigners and fourteen other individuals.
"I wonder why women have to be their own enemies. I won't mention their names but police will investigate further using the information I have given," she said as reported by The Star.
She asserted that voters will vote for people based on the work they've done, rapport with residents and character.
“I assure voters and my supporters that I will clinch the seat in August despite the assassination plot," she said.
Since then she says police have increased security around her.
