[Photo|plus254]The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has once again opted for the Al Ghurair Printing and Publishing LLC, to print ballot papers for October polls.Opposition's NASA coalition presidential deputy candidate Kalonzo Musyoka revealed that IEBC issued them with a 9-page document during a meeting Tuesday morning, which among other things, indicated the Dubai-based firm would print presidential ballot papers for the fresh election slated for October 17.IEBC contracted Al Ghurair Printing and Publishing LLC, to print ballot papers used in the August 8 general elections, despite opposition from the Opposition. After the Supreme Court nullified the presidential election, Nasa's Musalia Mudavadi during a public rally at Masinde Muliro Grounds in Mathare Nairobi County, said "we do not want to hear again that Al Ghurair will print ballot papers."Fellow principals echoed his sentiments, with Presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, saying Nasa would not go to the ballot again, if the firm prints the ballot papers.According to Nasa, the firm's bosses have a close relationship with President Uhuru Kenyatta, who is Raila's closest challenger in the election.Kalonzo lamented that IEBC had not issued Nasa with the document at the appropriate time to go through it, before agreeing or disagreeing on some proposed issues. He maintained that Nasa would not want the firm to print the ballot papers.
