The Al-Shabaab terror group has started executing some of its fighters for alleged spying. This comes after their planned terror attacks were leaked to US intelligence units. Its special firing squad has been mandated to torture victims publicly.

According to the Standard, an alumni of Kenyatta University is in charge of this killer unit. It is alleged that he has executed his friend whom he recruited. The al-Qaida-linked terror group responded after US President Donald Trump approved the fight against Al-Shabaab.

American and Kenyan fighters are the most affected by these internal wrangles. They are jailed in secret prisons spread across Somalia. Those found guilty of spying are tortured and killed in front of locals and other fighters so that potential traitors fear betraying the group.

Ahmed Nur and 26-year-old Ahamed Yusuf are the latest victims of execution. They were suspected to be AMISON agents. This has caused tension forcing some militias to flee.
