The Al-Shabaab militia group which has been a threat to human life both in Kenya and other parts of the world is said to be broke.

This has been said by the Kenyan security agencies who also say lack of funds has weakened the militia group.

It is said that some fighters claim to not have been paid for quite some. The leaders of the group have been misusing the funds by buying cars and houses yet the regular fighters are not paid.

The security agencies also revealed that the stike by the US that left more than 150 Al-Shabaab killed was a major blow to the group. The group is now said to be using propaganda to manipulate people and instil fear in them.

This comes after one of their leaders, in a video clip that surfaced online, said that they were responsible for the KDF deaths in El Adde in mid January. The leader also boasted of having acquired everything he had from the KDF soldiers after killing them
