Kisumu Governor Anyang' Nyong'o's recent interview with The Standard has received much criticism with controversial blogger Robert Alai questioning the former Senator's ability to run the lakeside city.
In the interview, Prof. Nyong'o narrated how he managed to run the county while in the USA where he had been under medication for two months since December 2017.
The Governor explained that he closely monitored the running of the county from his hospital bed and managed to have long phone calls with county officials on what should be done in his absence.
He further noted that he ran the affairs of the devolved unit by engaging his officers on various social media platforms.
Following the interview, blogger Alai attacked the governor online questioning his leadership techniques.
"We should have Obama run Kenya from USA. Citizens (including intellectuals and experienced ones) have become pathetic pawns in the machinations," Alai posted on his Twitter handle.
