In a Facebook post that is critical of progress made in enforcing IEBC reforms, Alai says that those who participated in the protests could have died in vain since the agenda has changed for ODM.

“So ODM sacrificed the young men who died in the IEBC demos for what gain? The quest for IEBC reforms abruptly changed into party hopping argument,” he argues.

He says that the ODM leadership is doing business with the blood of innocent young men.

“There is no need to go for elections knowing that the party is not interested in the presidency but making money for the leaders.”

Alai, who has of late become very critical of the party, adds that the ODM leadership will as usual claim the elections were rigged.

“They will make noise that they have been rigged out then another bunch of young men would be killed and they wouldn't care. Have you heard them speak about the brothers and sisters killed or maimed during the IEBC RIOTS?” he poses.

He adds, “Something is wrong. We need to speak out. We must change ODM from within. Now it looks like the party leadership is focused on containing Ruto not to ascend to the presidency in 2022 and really not to win 2017 elections.

The blogger has been accused of being bought off by Jubilee Party after he attended an event that President Uhuru Kenyatta presided over.

ODM is currently on a charm offensive tour of several areas of the country to win voters for the 2017 elections.
