Renowned blogger Robert Alai on Wednesday night noted that Miguna Miguna will mess his nomination as Nairobi Deputy Governor by acting childishly.
In a tweet, Alai claimed that Miguna will destroy his nomination “with a stupid comment”.
“Miguna Miguna will mess this with one stupid opinion. Doesn’t know when to shut up," he posted on his Twitter handle.
“If you don't want Miguna Miguna as the deputy of Sonko, don't waste your breath commenting on the appointment. He will destroy the whole thing with a stupid comment. He will just act childishly,” he added.
Alai made the remarks after Governor Mike Sonko nominated the vocal lawyer to be his deputy.
In a letter to the Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi, Sonko says Miguna meets all the requirements provided for in the constitution.
“I hereby forward my nominee, Lawyer Miguna Miguna to undergo full vetting process and approval by the County Assembly for the position of Deputy Governor,” reads part of the letter.
The unexpected nomination came just a few hours after Miguna, who was deported by the government to Canada in March, canceled his planned return into the country.
According to Miguna, he was not able to travel back to Kenya since the government had not provided him with a new passport.
