Controversial blogger Robert Alai has faulted the Judiciary over the hefty fines 2017 election petition losers are being charged.
According to Alai, something is wrong with the Judiciary as Courts should not punish petitioners and he believes that people will avoid courts after losing an election due to the hefty fines.
"Something is wrong with the Judiciary. Why are all petition losers charged high bills by courts? @dkmaraga you will make people avoid courts after losing elections. Courts shouldn't punish petitioners. THIS IS WRONG!!!!," tweeted Alai on Wednesday.
In the election petitions thrown out by the Courts so far, the losers have been asked to pay hefty fines and some of the examples are:
Wavinya Ndeti was asked to pay Kshs 10 million after losing her gubernatorial petition.
Jack Ranguma was asked to pay Kshs 5 million after losing the Kisumu gubernatorial petition.
George Ogake was asked to pay Kshs 8 million after losing the Kisii senatorial petition.
The blogger further mocked self declared National resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna for calling on President Uhuru Kenyatta to concede defeat or relocate to Congo as he was coming for him (Uhuru)
"Miguna Miguna says that Uhuru Kenyatta should either concede or take a flight to Congo because he is coming to remove him. LOL...... Haki nimecheka.....," Alai remarked.
