On Friday, many Kenyans were left stunned after celebrated news anchor Swaleh Mdoe announced that he was selling his kidney.
According to Mdoe, he was in a finacial crisis and hence the need to sell his kidney at Sh.2.5 million.
Many people gave their mixed reactions regarding the matter.
On Saturday, blogger Robert Alai claimed that Mdoe earns close to half a million on a monthly basis but his money was channelled to entertainment.
He went ahead to suggest that Mdoe should be subjected to a beating in the town center to discourage such a trend.
"Swaleh Mdoe should be arrested, thoroughly caned by chokoras in Nairobi then also charged with selling human organs. Swaleh has a good Job paying him close to half a million but he spends it all on alcohol and women. This trend must not be encouraged," tweeted Alai.
On Friday, Mdoe confirmed that he was in a position to live with one kidney after his doctor gave him a green light.
