Controversial blogger Robert Alai has for once turned his array of criticism from opposition leader Raila Odinga and expressed his opinions on the ongoing famine and drought being faced in most parts of the country.
According to Alai's post on Facebook, the only lasting solution to famine lies with the National Youth Service (NYS) and the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) Engineers Brigade.
".....NYS Kenya has manpower of 16,000 Men at any time of the Year. NYS has best borehole drilling rigs, in conjunction with the KDF, let them drill boreholes and dig water pans, small dams. Boreholes for each village, primary and sec schools plus pasture areas. Similar to Last Mile Electrification project....." he said.
The blogger further urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to let the NYS, KDF and Irrigation Board to partner and take less than 3 months in mitigating famine in the arid north forever.
"...NYS has manpower, machinery and expertise to dig 3 boreholes per day per village," he concluded.
