According to Kangundo DCIO Davud Wafula, the documents were found strewn allover next to a post office along the busy Nairobi- Kangundo road.
"Majority of the IDs were from central region and other parts of Kenya including Ukambani," he said.
He added that some of the documents discovered indicated that they were issued this year.
The incident comes barely a month after former Vice president and Nasa coalition running mate Kalonzo Musyoka raised alarm over what he termed as a vote buying syndicate in the Ukambani region.
