Police in Ugenya Sub County has been called upon to act immediately and stop the emerging cases of political hooliganism in the area.
Ugenya Member of Parliament, David Ochieng’s campaign manager, Mr. Omondi Gero has said the emerging cases of attacks and threats from their opponents during campaigns are worrying.
He wants the police to move with haste and contain the situation.
Mr. Gero, who was speaking with reference to an incident where one of their campaigners, Joseph Olale, was allegedly attacked at a political rally in Sega town, added that many of their youth have been attacked and their campaign materials destroyed.
He wants the police to reign on such errant characters to contain the situation before it gets out of hand.
