Ruiru sub-county’s Biashara ward MCA Joe Mutuga has condemned teachers over the increased cases of devil worshipping in the area.
Joe said that he has received claims from numerous people that the teachers in the area schools are recruiting their students into devil worshipping.
He claimed that some parents have also indulged themselves in the act as a means of getting riches.
“I am aware of all the teachers recruiting students into the act and we condemn them in Jesus name as we know our ward is a place of believers since ancient days,” the MCA said.
“Some of the parents we have here are also indulging themselves into devil worship and we wonder how you sleep a poor man and wake up wealthy,” he ridiculed.
He was speaking during the Mashujaa Day celebrations in Ruiru sub-county where the deputy county commissioner, Mercy Gatobu, was the chief guest.
The area security committee, led by the area police commander Isaack Thuranira, vowed to work with the MCA to ensure that all the people involved in the alleged recruiting of the students into devil worship are apprehended to act as lesson to those with similar thoughts and plans.
He was accompanied by the area AP senior superintended Hesborn Luvatsia.
