The Mp who is no stranger to controversies, alleges that there are some people working at Central Bank who cashed the forged Bills while impersonating as the Directors of Desai Ltd, the real owners of the Bills.

"When the Directors went to inquire, they were harrased by associates of the most powerful politician in this country and threatened with deportation," he said.

The MP reveals that it was at this point when the Desai Ltd Directors, after a consultation with their lawyer (Kipkenda Lilan Advocates) that they, in their own wisdom, decided that a political solution would help.

"The Directors were advised to seek my help as they were told that CBK Governor Mr. Njoroge was a close friend of mine," Keter says. Adding that he contacted Mr. Njoroge in Septembet 2017 and he was promised that the matter shall be investigated and was also assured that the roque staff who cashed the bills would be disciplined and jailed.

Hon Keter says that, since then, they have been pursuing the issue until Thursday evening when the CBK phoned to inform him that the Bills were ready for cashing.

"When we got to the CBK the following morning (Friday Morning), there was an unusually high number of media journalists hovering around the bank. I inquired from one of them what they were up to and he answered that there was going to be a press briefing by CBK Communication Director, Mr. Wallace Kantai," he says.

He adds that he then led the Directors of Desai LTD to the office of the Governor CBK for assistance.

"We were inside the bank when the hell broke loose. Plain-cloth policemen descended on us telling us that we were under arrest," he says.

"We were then hoarded towards a waiting van where I tried to address the Journalists but was prevented by CBK's Director of Communication. I was then taken and questioned at DCI HQ Kiambu road up to 7.30pm and was transferred to Kileleshwa Police Station."
