A section of Rift Valley politicians fired a series of brutal salvos on Sunday at outspoken Nandi Hills Member of Parliament Alfred Keter, accusing him of hypocrisy.
The MPs said that Mr Keter was himself corrupt as he was arrested months ago at the Central Bank of Kenya over fake treasury bills and, thus, had no moral authority to lecture others on corruption.
Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi led the attack, warning Keter against mentioning DP Ruto's name.
''I want to tell my friend Alfred Keter that the time for us to tell each other the truth is here. You were arrested at the Central Bank hardly two months ago and you are talking about corruption yet you are very corrupt. You are moving around mentioning the name of the deputy president, the deputy president is not your son,'' Oscar Sudi said.
The Nandi Hills lawmaker had said that the revelations of the rot at the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) were a validation of his earlier claims about widespread corruption in government.
Senator Kipchumba Murkomen also fired shots at Keter wondering where he was when the alleged rot was unfolding.
The legislators were speaking at William Ruto's assistant Farook Kibet's home.
