Speaking on Monday in Kapseret constituency, Uasin Gishu county, Keter denied claims that he is among a group of Kalenjin leaders trying to block DP Ruto from winning the Presidency in 2022.

"There are people spreading propaganda that I am fighting DP Ruto because they want to put me in conflict with him," said the vocal MP who has been branded a Jubilee rebel.

"I want to clearly state that I support Ruto. I urged him not to listen to those propagandists," he added.

The MP whose win in August poll was recently nullified by an Eldoret court said his wish is to see a united Kalenjin community and cautioned those who are intending to cause divisions.

"It is my desire to see a united  Kalenjin community which we can all work together for our betterment. I want to tell off those are intending to disunite our community," he said.

Keter urged the government to take good care of its citizens saying it is its mandatory duty saying, "It is the duty of the government to care for its people and not people taking care of the government."

"The government should ensure they provide better healthcare, clean water and good price for maize and tea for our farmers," he said.

He also urged his supporters to remember him in prayers saying he is experiencing "difficult times".

"You know what am undergoing. I request that when you go down in your prayers, kindly remember to pray for me," said Keter.
