Uasin Gishu County Assembly Leader of Minority Ramadhan Ali has rejected the recent Ipsos Synovate opinion poll findings that said Cord leader Raila Odinga had lost popularity in the former Western province.
He said that the Ipsos release was a scheme by his competitors to ensure Raila was deemed politically irrelevant.
"Why did they release the opinion polls one day before Raila started his tour in Western Kenya? I think someone is trying to sabotage Raila's dominance in the region," he said.
Speaking at the County Assembly on Tuesday, Ali wondered whose opinion they collected for them to come up with 'biased' opinion polls.
"Western is still the stronghold of Cord and people should not allow themselves to be deceived by such polls. I want to assure them that come 2017 we will win with a landslide," he added.
According to the Ipsos Synovate poll release, Uhuru appears to be more popular now than all the three Cord co-principals combined with a 36% lead.
