Bongo superstar Ali Kiba has revealed that April 19th was his ideal wedding day, since it reminds him of his parents.
In an event attended by Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, Kiba married Amina Khalef, a girl from Kongowea, Mombasa, at the Masjid Ummul Kulthum mosque at 7:30am.
Through his Facebook account Kiba revealed that April 19, was the day his mother and father tied the knot.
"Siku ya leo Ndio Siku Mama Yangu Na Baba Yangu walifunga Ndoa ALHAMDULILAH #KingKiba," said the singer, before the event known as Nikkah kicked off.
Dressed in a black gown, a turban and a dagger to show the custom for Swahili weddings, Kiba was accompanied by his younger brother Abdu Kiba, as his best man.
“I Ali Saleh do accept to take Amina Khalef as my lawfully wedded wife,” he said as directed by the Sheikh Mohammed Karega who conducted the ceremony.
