Kandara Member of Parliament, Alice Wahome has said that she will not respond to the IEBC allegations that she harassed an IEBC official. ”I will only respond when IEBC calls me. Why are they issuing statements yet they do not know what happened?” She was caught on tape harassing the constituency Returning Officer Martin Malonza. Mr Malonza said that the legislator accused him of rushing to submit the presidential results without her approval. Wahome is also said to have blocked the official’s way and at some point pushed and shoved him around. She further claimed that Malonza was rude and did not want to answer questions. ”He was very rude and did not want to be asked any questions. What I did was not outside the law and it is prejudicial of IEBC to issue a statement that I have not seen by calling for my arrest. The returning officer was supposed to sit and explain in a calm manner, not causing drama,” she added. IEBC had called for arrest of the MP following these allegations.
