The Police on Sunday summoned Kandara MP Alice Wahome for questioning over claims that she assaulted a returning officer, Martin Malonza, in Murang'a.This is after the Director of Public Prosecution, Keriako Tobiko ordered Inspector General Joseph Boinett to launch an immediate probe into the incident.In a statement issued on Saturday, the DPP noted that the investigation could lead to the arrest and charging of the Legislator."I advise you to commence thorough investigations to cause the said MP to be arrested and charged in a court of law with the relevant offenses under the Penal Code and the Election Offences Act,” Senior Assistant DPP Alloys Kemo told police boss.  The lawmaker allegedly assaulted the IEBC official accusing him of transmitting the final results to the IEBC headquarters without consulting her.Malonza on Saturday reported that the legislator blocked his way by denying him access to the road.
