Kenya Airways Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sebastian Mikosz is the man to watch as the company strategizes on how to operate in 2018.
In an interview with Business Daily, KQ Board Chairman Michael Joseph said that they have a lot of faith in the Polish national that he will turn around the fortunes of the dwindling airline.
“I have full confidence that Sabastian will deliver. Things are working out as planned; he is strong, confident and clearly understands the airline industry,” Joseph said as quoted by The Business Daily.
The national carrier is counting on Mikosz’s experience that revived LOT Polish Airlines from the verge of collapsing to stabilize the Kenya Airways that’s is owned 87% wholly by the government and some local banks.
In addition Mr. Joseph said that they are looking forward to the company improving and breaking even maybe in the second or third quarter of 2018 saying that they also plan to launch more flights to Europe and Asia.
“In the second or third quarter of next year, I believe the restructuring will start bearing fruit in the form of better financial results. In 2018, we also expect to launch more flights to Europe and Asia,” Joseph said.
