All the calls for disbandment of independent electoral and boundary commission, IEBC are only pointing towards one concern; lack of credibility.
The opposition Cord has been in the forefront towards agitating for disbandment of IEBC. Kanu party also joined in the campaign for disbandment of IEBC after Kericho senatorial by-elections which they said fall short of the credibility test.
Last week, the clergy men also threw their weight behind the call for disbandment of IEBC. IEBC should know that all that Kenyans need is credibility in our elections.
This encompasses transparency in procurement of ballot boxes, ballot papers and electronic voter identification devices.
The country is still struggling to shake off the effects of the deadly post election violence of 2007/2008.
The worst the IEBC can do to Kenyans is to conduct another elections that fall short of credibility test.
