Mbui was speaking while addressing his constituency residents from ithaeni, Kaewa and the whole of Kathiani Constituency, who had gathered in Ithaeni Secondary School during issuance of bursary funds.

“I want to out rightly condemn the Members of Parliament who are disrespecting our leader in their rallies and meeting.  I want to urge the governor to stop from inviting leaders from other counties who do not have respect for our own, apart from abusing our leaders it is a show of lack of confidence for our own leaders who he can also involve in the County development projects,” said Mbui

Mbui further stated that Governor Mutua ought to respect other leaders, to earn his respect from the rest.

This comes less than a week after Kalembe Ndile, former Kibwezi MP, together with seven other MPs stated that Kalonzo Musyoka must resign from politics and hand his position to Alfred Mutua to run in the 2017 elections.

The leaders were in Kinyui grounds were launching a water project in honour of an invite by the governor.

“This was disrespect of the highest order, ranging Kalonzo and Governor Mutua at the same level. Kalonzo has more experience and has mentored almost all leaders from Ukambani including Mutua. I do not see why anyone should disrespect him; he has been at the fore front in fighting for our development,” said Mbui.

After the meeting, Mbui issued Sh300,000 to help needy children from Secondary schools, Sh150,000 as bursary funds to help area students in Universities, and a total of Sh120,000 to the youth who were not able to further their education and instead do bodaboda business.
