Members of Parliament allied to the National Super Alliance (NASA) have called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene in twists and turns surrounding lawyer Miguna Miguna’s deportation.
In a show of solidarity, the over 20 MPs from ODM, Wiper, and ANC party called on the President to quickly put an end to what they termed as impunity.
Speaking at Parliament buildings, the lawmakers stated that the ministry of interior affairs was promoting impunity.
The Mps condemned the manner in which Miguna’s case is being handled by relevant authorities since his arrival from Canada on Monday afternoon where he had been deported to after the controversial swearing in of NASA leader Raila Odinga.
The MPs said events surrounding lawyer Miguna’s case might jeopardize gains realized after the peace deal and hand shake between the President and Odinga.
