The team striker Meddie Kagere has urged fans from different parts of the nation to turn out in large numbers on the big day. The striker said that the team is representing the entire nation and his win means a lot to the citizens.

“We are not only playing as Gor Mahia but representing Kenyan football as well. We want to put our team and Kenya in the world map so I want to call on all the fans to turn out and give us the support. We promise we will not disappoint,” the forward told MichezoAfrika.

He also expressed confidence that the team will bring down the South African side. Kagere said that the team has trained enough, adding that they are motivated to exhibit great performance in the game.

The striker also reminded his teammates that they have to finish the job in the first round to avoid the situation they encountered when they played Esperance.
