All school going girls in Machakos county are set to get free sanitary pads and panties.

This is according to an initiative launched by Machakos first lady madam Lilian Nganga Friday at Makivenzi girls secondary school, Yatta. 

The initiative also involves talking to the girls on matters personal hygiene, career guidance, talent enhancement and mentoring them. 

The first lady welcomed partners in the initiative to help restore the dignity and improve the performance of the Machakos girl. 

The first lady was accompanied by Miss tourism Machakos county Karen Nkantha and a host of other leaders.
