Speaking yesterday while donating computers together with printers at Kiplombe Secondary school, Simon Gicharu  Rural Electrification Authority Chairman said that with electricity in the schools, the performances of the students will improve greatly.

"We are almost through with the electricity installation and we hope that by April this year, we will have completed the whole process. We want all the schools including secondary school and primary schools to be connected with electricity so that the students can have time to do their revision even when there is darkness and also use the computers to do their research", Gicharu said.

Gicharu went ahead and added that Rural Electrification Authority was very determined to ensure that all the schools in the country have electricity.

"I call upon all the leaders to come together and ensure that we all support education in this county. We as leaders should ensure that bright students achieve their goals by sponsoring them upto the highest level they can be able to reach", Gicharu said.

Gicharu also said that they were also installing electricity in the rural areas. "As you can see now, most of the villages in this county have electricity poles passing. Our main agenda is to ensure electricity reaches all the villages so that there can be light everywhere", Gicharu said
