Nakuru Cord supporters are all set to for the anti-IEBC demos in Nakuru town this afternoon.
Speaking over the phone, Nakuru ODM Chairman Dennis Okomol has confirmed that they are ready to take to the streets and want the police to provide them with adequate security.
Mr Okomol has in the past accused the police for what he termed as harassment and has today morning appealed to them to be humane in the demos set for this afternoon.
"We want the police to be human and provide us with enough security. Our demonstration will be peaceful and all we want is dialogue if not sending the commissioners home," he said.
Okomol has said the protests are legal and asked the police to read and understand the orders that were issued by the High Court over the anti-IEBC protests rather than using teargas on them.
Elsewhere, Cord supporters are already thronging the streets of Nairobi in what is expected to be a tough street battle between them and the police.
