New governors will be sworn into office beginning Thursday, with the spotlight falling on budgets for the inauguration to curb wastage of public funds.

Machakos governor Alfred Mutua is expected to be among the first governors-elect to be sworn in tomorrow in an exercise that will go up to August 24.Mutua earlier today held a meeting with his Deputy Hon. Eng. Francis Maliti, the County Commissioner Madam Matilda Sakwa and the Assumption of Office of The Governor Committee members regarding tomorrow's swearing-in before later inspecting the Machakos Kenyatta Stadium which hosts the ceremony."We are pleased with the preparations and invite Wananchi for the inauguration which begins at 10 AM. Guests are expected to be seated by 9AM," he said through his facebook page.He invited his supporters to be part of the Historic Super Chap Chap New Dawn-Transforming Machakos from Third to First World.
