Busia leaders held a consultative meeting to plan for the NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga's repeat presidential elections scheduled for October 26.
The meeting was also attended by Busia Senator Amos Wako, MPs Raphael Wanjala (Budalang'i), Oundo Mudenyo (Funyula), Joseph Oyula (Butula) and Oku Kaunya (Teso North).
Busia Women Representative Florence Mutua and Matayos MP Geoffrey Odanga sent apologies after they failed to show up.
Governor Sospeter Ojaamong confirmed that the official campaigns will kick off next week with each MP leading the onslaught in their constituencies.
All leaders will then have joint rallies starting on October 16, which will culminate in the tour of the presidential flag bearer, to Busia County on October 24.
The leaders also agreed to work as a team through the County Consultative Forum which will be held on a monthly basis.
