National Soccer League (NSL) side Nakuru All-Stars have clarified on why the club has not been very active in the ongoing transfer season.
The Nakuru based side is yet to sign any new name while a handful of their players have since jumped ship into the topflight Kenyan league.
However, speaking on Friday, club chairman Isaac Kones revealed that they are not expecting anything much as the club is keen on retaining the better part of their squad ahead of the 2018 season.
He, however, opined that the team would bring on board at least three new faces before the transfer window slams shut.
"We haven't done much in terms of new signings, majorly because we want to keep the core of the team together. However, we will have a few new faces, maybe three; we have already singled out the players we feel will help the team and in the course of next week we will be finalizing on their deals," he said.
All-Stars finished ninth in their previous campaign after garnering 46 points. However, the club has set its new season agenda with a return to the Kenya Premier League being top of its plans after a three-year hiatus.
