The 8th east African safari classic rally sponsored by Kenya airways will take place on November 23rd-December 1st 2017.

The competition has received signups from Joey Ghose (United Arab Emirates), Team Tido (Sweden), Kobus Coetzee (South Africa), Pawel Moldo (Poland), Jorge Perez Companc (Argentina) , Jan Hagman (Sweden), Rai Brother (Kabras Sugar Racing Kenya), Baldav Singh(Kenya), Stefano Rocca (Italy),  Ramesh Vishram (Kenya), Tim Mammen (Kenya) , Arron Banks  (Great Britain), Scott Armstrong (Great Britain), Gilberto Sandretto (Italy), Richard Jackson (Great Britain), Geoff Bell  (South Africa).

Others include Nick Mason (Great Britain), Simon Connolly (Great Britain), Stig Blomqvist (Sweden), Jayant Shah (Tanzania), Phillipe  Gache (France), Jonathan Somen (Kenya), Alex Horsey (Kenya), Frederic Daunat  (France), Arnaud Haefelin ( France ), Bernhard Kessel  ( Denmark ) and Ian Duncan in his Ford Capri.

This will be Ramesh Vishram fourth competition since the competition was reinstated as he was a participant in the old type EA safari rally.

The competition has seen a list of powerful and exotic cars including 9 Porsche 911, Ford Escort Mk1, Ciroen DS Bandama, Mazda Rx 7, Datsun 160J, 240z, 260z, H510,HLS30, Ford Escort RS 1800 and Mercedes  350SLC.

Although the Kabras lineup will comprise of the Rai brothers Tejveer and Onkar . Team Tido is yet to announce their drivers with two expected to be Swedes.

The rally which is in its eight year since being revived in 2011 will see a mix of experienced old hands battle it out with the young and tech savvy.
