Alliance Girls’ High School and Kenya High School have been praised for their good, consistent results.
Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i lauded the two girls’ school for their exemplary results in the KCSE results, pointing out that in a period when most schools were cheating, the two schools steered clear of cheating and maintained the integrity of the schools which has been shown in this year’s results.
Of the 141 A plains recorded in this year’s KCSE results, 46 were taken by the two girls schools, Alliance recording the highest at 25 while Kenya high recorded 21 A plains.
“In the previous years the two schools have not recorded the outrageously good results that other schools have recorded, what they recorded In the previous years is similar to this year’s which show they were honest unlike other schools that recorded over 204 A plains yet they only managed two this year,” said Matiangi.
Alliance Girls’ High School recorded the first two best students in the 2016 KCSE results while Kenya High recorded the third. Of the top 20 best students in the 2016 KCSE results, 16 were girls.
Alliance Girls High School emerged the top school with a mean grade of A- 81.783, while Kenya High was ranked 10th with an A- 76.030
