Kisumu County CeC for education Jennifer Kere have been challenged to allocate funds towards the purchase of school materials to boost education morale among students.

Speaking to journalists on Wednesday at a Kisumu hotel, Nominated MCA Lydia Odhiambo challenged Kere to allocate funds towards the purchase of school materials to help in viable education boosting.

She further noted that through purchase of school materials, learning would be easier as it would boost learning morale thus improve performance.

“We need to boost learning by allocating funds in buying relevant materials that would help learners to do extra work, this can be done when the school materials or learning materials are bought with a purpose of boosting learning morale,” said Odhiambo.

Her counterpart, Caroline Ogot also echoed similar sentiments, urging for the purchase to help schools realise better results.

According to her, the purchase of the materials would necessitate learning in schools and help them in getting more relevant books and other materials.

“For us to have quality education, we need to invest in education by allocating funds towards school materials, this would boost the morale of both teachers and students,” noted Ogot.
