Kisumu County MCAs have challenged the county government to allocate funds in constructing a modern, computer laboratory in the region.
Speaking on Wednesday at Huduma centres building, nominated MCA Caroline Ogot challenged the county government to allocate funds towards constructing a modern computer laboratory learning centre.
Ogot said she had realized a great number of locals and employees needed to acquire knowledge in computer and the computer lab needed to be constructed fast.
According to the MCA, computer literacy was a basic requirement in most avenues and should a computer lab be constructed, most of the employees would find it easy to acquire computer skills.
“We need to allocate funds towards construction of a computer laboratory. This would enhance computer literacy to the locals and county employees,” noted Ogot.
His counterpart Farida Salim also welcomed the statements calling upon a modern computer laboratory in the region.
Salim noted that locals and county employees needed computer skills and constructing a modern laboratory would be a way of enhancing computer literacy.
