Nominated MCA, Lydia Odhiambo speaking on Monday at an educational event at R.I.A.T Institute noted that the region needed equipped central library to enhance learning among locals, challenging Kere to allocate funds in building an equipped library that would act as a research centre.

Odhiambo stated that the library will act as a research centre, as large number of the locals would be doing their research as they read various equipped books in the library.

“We need to boost learning morale in the region by  allocating funds in building a central library to act as a research centre in learning, this would necessitate education strength among locals,” said Odhiambo.

She further noted that through the library, those advancing learning can study after their hectic job and needed quiet places.

Migosi MCA Paul Achayo also noted that the region needed a more equipped library, echoing Odhiambo’s sentiments.

He noted that if set up, the library will keep the spirit of learning boosted among locals, saying that the locals needed knowledge and the library would act as centre of knowledge.
