Abiola claimed that the current Sh1 million per Ward is very small considering the number of needy students.

He said that there are many bright students in the county who are unable to continue with their education due to lack of school fees.

“The Bursary Fund is so merger at the moment that not all needy students can be catered for. The Sh1 million per Ward can only take a few students to schools,” said Abiola.

He claimed that very few students are benefitting from the fund and there is need to increase the allocation.

Speaking at Obambo Chief’s Camp when he gave out forms for bursary allocation, Abiola said he will take a motion in the County Assembly for the increment of Bursary Funds allocation.

He called upon his fellow MCAs to rally behind him when he shall move the motion in the house to allow more needy students to access education in the county.

“I am going to move a motion when the assembly resumes next month for the county government to increase the allocation so that we can assist many more needy students,” said Abiola who was also supported by some parents.

They said there are many orphans in the county who are bright and need support to continue with their education.
