Kisii University Vice Chancellor Prof John Akama has challenged the government to put in place measures that will ensure every student who sits for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) is allowed to continue with the studies up to the university level.

This, the VC says will help in stimulating the country's development.Speaking at the Eldoret Sports club during the Elgon View College graduation, Prof Akama noted that education was key for any positive transformation in the country.

He advised the youth to take education seriously saying, "in this modern era, without education you are doomed. To make our youths get a degree, we will have a better and developed country with less of the issues of street families and insecurity in urban centres among others," he added.

The Kisii University Vice Chancellor further hailed the government for developing education for creating more new universities saying the move has helped lower the cost of university education.
