This comes after Mrs Jane Bosire, wife to ODM Treasurer Timothy Bosire allegedly died access to Pangani police station on Tuesday evening causing uproar among social media users.

In a WhatsApp statement at Nyamira County politics forum, Mrs Chae condemned the act and urged Kenyan women to stand against it and demand justice on Kenyan women

“I want to challenge the state to desist from interfering with the rights of Kenyan women. All wives of MPs who have been detained regardless of the coalition they are affiliated to should be allowed to visit their husbands unconditionally,” she said.

“The state should stop intimidating Kenyan women. The rights of detained people should not be violated at all and time has come for Kenyan women to condemn what happened to Mrs Jane Bosire on Tuesday,” Chae added.

She threatened to sue the government if the wives of legislators in question are again denied access to see their husbands.

"Let whatever happened yesterday never repeat itself in this country. As women, we must be respected and it’s unfair to politicise everything. I will sue the government if police again prevent innocent women from visiting their husbands in detention,” Chae said.
