Cord leader Raila Odinga has downplayed calls by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto among other jubilee leaders to resign from active politics.
Speaking in Kisumu on Wednesday, Raila said he is old but more experienced than the current leaders when it comes to matters of politics and development.
"They call me old, but I am experienced in leadership more than they do," he said as quoted by eDaily.
The former prime minister also launched attacks against the State for attempting to hijack projects that were initiated by past regimes.
According to Raila, the current leadership has done little to make Kenya a better place than they found it.
He lamented about the high cost of living, poor education, and lack of job opportunities among other problems facing the country.
"These youthful leaders have stolen from the citizens of this nation," he added.
"We are tired and enough is enough. The cost of living has sky-rocketed, the education system has been compromised, and there are no job opportunities for our youth. You hear their leadership say they have connected houses to electricity, that they initiated the SGR project."
The opposition leader has affirmed to mobilize Kenyans to vote out President Kenyatta in August.
