Amani National Alliance (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has said he is ready to bow out of the race to State House if that is the way to save Kenya from corruption, tribalism and other socio-political and economic ills.
Speaking during an interview on KTN on Monday night, Mudavadi affirmed that he will support any candidate for the presidency out to change the lives of the common Kenyan.
"If shelving my presidential bid will be the ultimate prize to give the country better leadership, then I will do so since it is our common course," said Mr Mudavadi.
During the interview, the Western political kingpin lashed out at President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jamhuri Day speech as mere recitation of Jubilee failures since his government took over power after the last general polls.
"I did not attend the Jamhuri Day celebrations but keenly followed the proceedings in which the president made statements of panic and what I would consider scare-mongering," he said.
The ANC leader assured Kenyans he will work with Cord leader Raila Odinga and other leaders from the opposition in order to save the nation from corrupt leadership.
