Wavinya Ndeti is no doubt the talk of the town all over Machakos County and all over the country.
She first came into the limelight after her tongue slipped when she wanted to use the popular Swahili proverb of “Yaliyopita si ndwele.” Instead, she pronounced it as “yaliyondwele sipite.”

She is a widow of the late Henry Oduwale, a Nigerian who reportedly succumbed to blood pressure.
Ndeti is an alumnus of 5 UK colleges.
She got her Msc. Business Administration and Marketing from the Heieotwatt University in United Kingdom.
Before, she was Kathiani MP.
She joined politics in 2007 contesting and being elected Member of Parliament for Kathiani Constituency under the Chama Cha Uzalendo.
Ndeti became the first and only woman to have represented the Kathiani Constituency in Parliament since independence.
She defeated Peter Kyalo Kaindi for the MP race.
Ndeti got appointed in former President Mwai Kibaki’s last regime, where she was the Assistant Minister for Youth and Sports under Helen Sambili.
She is among the founding members of CORD.
In 2010, she supported the new constitution saying that it will benefit every Kenyan when resources are evenly distributed in the country and that decentralized leadership is of great importance to the country as a whole.
