Valerie Lihabi has always loved fashion and fashion blogging has always been fascinating to her.

It helps her write down her thoughts about style, besides using pictures to express fascinating style and fashion trends.

Her blog is barely eight months old but has been receiving overwhelming visits.

The Bachelor of Commerce student at the University of Nairobi entered fashion blogging with inspiration from fashion bloggers like Nancie Mwai, Sharon Mundia and Shirely Eniang, with ambitions to move mountains in this field.

Her day starts at 4am, chats a prayer, takes a shower, and prepares for the day's lectures and work.

Asked whether she takes breakfast, the smiley fashionista replied: "I'm not a breakfast person so I skip that part, by 6:15am am ready to leave the house and ready for the long day ahead. l get to work at 7:45am considering traffic which is great since my reporting time is 8am. The whole day is basically work and in between the day I would post a picture on my social media handles to keep my followers updated on whats new on the blog and new trends."

Valerie's daily schedule is fixed. She leaves work at around 4:30pm for school, where she attends evening classes until around 8:45pm.

"It's all about time management, if you are an avid reader of my blog, you will notice I always post once a week. When manage your time, plan your schedules everything will work out perfectly."

Asked what motivates her, the part time marketer said her biggest motivation is God.

She says blogging is a journey which a lot of things happen behind the scenes which a few people get to know about.

She cited her photographer, Daniel Nandi, saying he was among those that motivate her. Her mother also, who she said has been her number one fan, and her avid readers who always expect more from her through social media and her fashion blog.

"Finding locations to do shoots for the blog in Nairobi is a hustle. If you find a nice place with serene environment, then expenses will be crazily expensive," she said, this being one of her greatest challenges.

The trendy ambitious lady who is in her twenties, says she adores fashion blogging and it is changing her life.

"It's a platform I can share my style to everyone, inspire someone and also an avenue that has enabled me learn so much from my readers in terms of fashion and life in general. I have also met helpful people in my journey like Wilkings Fadhili CEO of Fashion Torch Africa and we are working on amazing ideas for the fashion industry."

For her, fashion blogging pays, but it takes much more time before one starts banking some cash from this industry.

"If you are in it for the money then you will give up even before you start earning. Money shouldn't be a motivation but rather your passion for fashion should be drive," she advised.

In order to stand out from the crowd, the trendy young lady says one requires to bring something special to the table.

"So find the unique side of you and let the world know you. Don't try to copy paste," said Valerie, with a smile.
